When The Ink Is Dry

When the ink becomes dry that is not a good sign
The writer has ceased to write words on the paper
The paper stares blank at the pen wondering when
Words will filter the page to fill a void on the lines
When the ink is dry there is nothing left to say
Words are no longer running through the head
Of the writer 'cause the block in his head has cause
Diction to be dead
And so the writer has no inspiration to write
Words anymore.
The ink has leaked and the writer walks away from
the table
The minute he relinquish the pen it tumbles to the
floor
And so the writer has no inspiration to write anymore.
