I made a huge mistake
I thought poetry was my big break
Dollar signs clouded my mind
I got caught up in the fantasy
Not understanding poetry was
One part of my journey
I put poetry in a box
Not understanding it is
More than words
I am the movement behind my
poetry
I am the rhythm, the sound
behind this movement
Got caught up in the performance
Instead of what I am supposed
To deliver.
It is not a game, not about the fame
But it is a movement
It is a turning point
It is an life changing experience
Poetry is more than just words.
